Cameron is a prize-winning author and has worked as an anthropologist, house dad, archivist, and academic. He teaches history and creative writing at the University of South Australia and writes short stories, history, novels and film. In First Person Shooter, Cameron explores the deeply personal experience of adolescent stuttering through the eyes of Jayden, a 15-year-old boy struggling to find his way through a rural landscape of violence, shame, love, and gaming.
